Fuminori stays in that posture for some time, not speaking. He likes that about being around Toothless--Toothless isn't human and doesn't communicate in a voice that's supposed to sound human. There's nothing distorted about him, even though Fuminori knows that what he's seeing isn't Toothless's real form.
