"Spreadsheets are horrific," Martha says, her only word of explanation on that topic. The fact is that if she's going to be stuck in a situation where people think she's some kind of police officer, she would at least like to do something more interesting than sit in front of the computer writing reports and graphing out spreadsheets.

So the folder is definitely the most interesting aspect of this. At Evelyn's request, Martha cuts to the side, moving to an open desk where she sets the folder down and opens it up.

As would be expected, there are sheets of paper in there, different reports and witness testimonies. It looks like they're dealing not with a homicide, but some kind of breaking and entering that resulted in a count of battery. The one responsible is on the run now, and they'e supposed to track him down to his last known location.

"This isn't exactly my area of expertise," she admits, though Evelyn already knows that, of course.
