This is exactly the speech he was expecting from anyone who found out- from Jo, from Ellen, from Sam, from Chi. Wasting your life and it might not work and all that shit is just somethig he doesn't want to hear. His mind's made up, he already knows the counter arguments, he's already factored it all in and the bottom line? He's doing what he's gotta do and that's all that matters. If they've got even three fucking percent of a shot, it's more than worth his life as far as he's concerned. There are a dozen and a half candidates for people to take his place running things.
The possibilities outweigh the cost.
His eyberow arches a little at the comment. "Good to know."
That's his only answer, and it doesn't sound particularly like he's all that bothered by her eternal grudge or her attitude. "Check in with me if you find anything. Don't do anything stupid."
He warns seriously, and that's all the cheery encouragement he gives before he's purposefully striding down the hall.
