The phone certainly had their uses, and they were convenient for getting in touch with someone to arrange a meeting or leaving quick messages, but when it came to real conversations, she would much rather talk to someone face-to-face. Tom had said it best awhile back: you could never really tell what someone was thinking or what they meant if you couldn't see the look on their face.
She leaned against the wall beside the window with one hand on her hip, giving him a quick once-over. He looked good. Better than she remembered him looking closer to his arrival, anyway. Whether he believed it or not, she felt Wonderland was good for him. It was undeniably a huge step up from Hell.
