[All in all, Wash probably has the right idea. Leaving his room for a safer place had been a dumb idea in more than one way for Adam, given that he's had to face Weeping Angels. Maybe not face in a close contact sense--he's been lucky enough to avoid being touched by one even if there've been a few close calls now that the statues are in the building--but he could've done without seeing them in action.
Not blinking is easy, but not blinking because you know you can't is hard. Too hard when these things might be able to kill a person if you screw up.
Down the hallway, Wash will come across a grey stone figure halfway inside an unoccupied room. The statue is a Weeping Angel, of course, but the shuffling sounds from inside... those come from a familiar tall, thin young man in the process of dragging a standing mirror toward the statue. When the statue first appeared in the corner of his eye, he could only think of one thing to do in a one-bedroom room, and that had been to take other people's advice about reflections and making the Weeping Angels look at themselves.
Maybe he should've thanked God for a magic closet within line of sight of the thing, but God and angels? Pretty much on the top of Adam's hit list..
It's a slow process when he literally can't look away from the monster, but he's determined to stand it right in front of the Weeping Angel before he tries slipping out past its reaching arms.]
