_{[Wrong thing to say to the PTSD--addled Hell survivor, man. Even if he wouldn't buy it, Adam can't deny he wouldn't mind hearing some confidence--confidence not his own since he doesn't have much of that. A little "we're not going to die" would be nice.

Against all expectations, demons aren't so bad for that. Crowley at least hadn't been, and Adam gets the feeling the guy's going to be just fine until this blows over, even if he can't say the same for himself. He gives Wash a look of quiet consternation before creeping in the direction the man had indicated. Definitely no sudden locomotion here.

As long as the statue stays put, that's all both of them can ask for. Adam would rather keep his eyes on it as long as possible to ensure it does.]}
