HORRAY c:

Jack's heard about the murders.

He'd known Wonderland was dangerous -- in more ways than one -- but it was the events that were usually a lot more dangerous than the people. These people from the future were a bit weird, sure, too casual and too emotional and more polite than the people were back home.

But people were still people and they had a concept of murder for a reason. People could be absolutely horrid to each other, for absolutely no reason at all, and for absolutely selfish reasons. And the people in Wonderland weren't exempt from that. Jack'd known that much when they'd started killing each other in order to keep certain secrets secret.

It wasn't anything he's not used to. It is, after all, part of the reason why he carries weapons everywhere he goes.

But he's not thinking of murder now, not when he makes his way to the docks, he's thinking of his ship. He always gets the slightest twinge of hope when he makes his way down here, that he might just turn a corner and see the Pearl there, waiting for him.

She's never there, but it doesn't stop him from hoping.

He doesn't try to hide his presence as he walks up, the sound of his boots against the grass and against the wood of the docks. And, when he gets close enough to recognize the person on the docks as Martha Jones, to greet her with a, "Fancy seein' you here, luv."
