Her excuses only serve to make him angrier--her point of view only backing up his own accusations in his mind.

"He would have killed us all. How's that for thriving? You signed all of our death warrants. I saved us. I saved Hell and all of its occupants from Lucifer and from you!"

He hadn't betrayed her, not really, but he can't help thinking he should have. He should have turned sooner, should have helped the Winchesters more. Everything could have been easier for all of them.

Of course, the reality would have been harder. He's always put himself first, but that doesn't mean he's entirely without his loyalty and he's always had a measure for Lilith and that's why he'd waited so long in the first place.
