Lena and Emma hadn't really talked since Lena's birthday. There was no real reason why; they'd just been busy with other things. But as Lena sat on the beach watching the waves, she spotted Lucky bounding towards her and Emma in the distance. The girl waved and lowered her hand just in time to pet Lucky.

"I didn't know you had a dog," she called out to Emma, waiting for the woman to catch up.
