I never sugar coat it for the men. I tell them exactly what they're getting themselves into and I do my best to make whatever life they have left serving under me pleasant. Uniforms are the least of my worries. Good food, good housing, there's no point sending them off to their deaths at least without an ounce of happiness left inside of them.
