School council has taught him quite a bit, though likely not the things it was meant to. Apart from building and encouraging their school community it's shown him the importance of politics - and in that arena, a soft touch does one no good. The best defense really is a good offense.

To put it simply: he's gotten good at tearing people down when they get in his way.
