"Comforting," Will says, all but chewing on his words. Dating is hard. It isn't all easily traceable motives and guess that Will makes with a high percentage of accuracy like the plots of his mystery novels. While Will has an uncommonly good grasp of how other people function, he rarely wants to involve himself in the middle of it, preferring to pick apart the fallout like any good detective.

He likes people a lot better when they're not involved with him in any way, basically. It's safe that way.
