Panne does not understand why animals like pegasi and wyverns put up with humans they way that they do. They are intelligent, noble creatures; they deserve better than to be someone's beast of burden-- and yet, when given the chance to escape, nearly all would choose to stand beside their rider. Humans do not deserve such steadfast loyalty.
