It is a dead give away, the smirk on William's lips widening ever so slightly as Gabriel bears down on him. Most would be terrified at the sight, but William is so used to his own Gabriel that he's almost de-sensitized to it. That and the whole thing is a power play, one he's not intending on losing anytime soon, and so he sits there, head tilting up as he watches the archangel stomping on over. He's not even going to flinch away, watching with blatant amusement.
