onlyhomemade: (Smug confidence)

Gabriel's brows raise at the dare and he has to say he's rather impressed. The William he knows would have cowered and begged for forgiveness and yet this one doesn't bat an eye. Oh what he wouldn't give to be able to teach his William to be as strong. Not that the real one hasn't made him proud when standing up to his father and doing what is necessary, just sometimes his groveling and penitent ways were a little disappointing. He needed work, he wasn't a failure but he wasn't like his Mirror either. This one had fire, a spine... the qualities of a true leader. He's everything he tried to make William.

Aside from the insane idea that he could speak with God of all things. Ridiculous.

He eases back from the way he loomed over the other, curious if he even KNEW what he was capable of. How those wings weren't just for show and flight. He begins to wonder if his own Mirror had any sort of backbone when it came to this human or if he were simply a lap dog to command. Had he even raised a feather to his master before? Has this "Prophet" ever seen the appendages being used to their full potential?

"I'm almost a little disappointed by my mirror self if he's given in to a petulant brat like you." He's taking a few steps away, enough to be just out of strike range, but close enough for what he plans to do. He just needs to be close enough for the longest, top most primary to reach him.

"Have you ever seen him cut someone down? Was that an order you've given? Are you aware of what we're capable of?" He pauses, "Or is it that Archangels in this world aren't near as strong as I?"

He has plenty of questions, wondering about his other self and the other mirrors, how this world differs. It's a distraction, turning slightly from William to show him his shoulder. On one hand it's giving him a perfect opportunity to strike at his side, his ribs or even his back for a kidney shot if he leaped off the table to do so. However at this range he had more reach than William could hope to and in a blink he made his move. The other may not feel more than a flick of cool wind and a sting across his cheek as the feather brushes just under his eye. It cuts clean and smooth, barely noticeable, like the sharpest knife being thrown past his ear. The cut itself isn't deep or long, just enough to cause him to bleed. An example, at best.

"Consider that a lesson before you decide to push me again." There isn't much to indicate what just happened other than the slight shift or ruffle of a wing as it re-situates itself on his back.
