He takes a long sip of the scotch as soon as she passes it to him. It helps calm his nerves, and it gives him the courage to close the gap between the two of them once she leads him to her room.

He places the glass down on the nearest flat surface and brings his lips to hers, a hand coming to brush over her hair.

"It would be warmer under the covers," he suggests gently.
