At least someone appreciates her efforts.

"I certainly hope so." Whatever has Steve so unhappy clearly needs to be taken care of, and quickly. Pepper is honestly half-tempted to try and stay in Steve's room; maybe some decorations inside would bring him that seemingly departed cheer. But she isn't so punch-drunk as to overstay her welcome any longer than she already has. If his mood doesn't improve, decorations can be the next step.

So she makes her way out into the hall, lingering just long enough to make sure Steve heads outside as promised.
