Normally, Rebekah would have been in agreement with her -- Klaus hugging anyone was absolutely foreign and downright terrifying; it was more Elijah's style to show such displays of affection, and even then, very few ever got to see it. As a matter of fact, Rebekah would have had all manner of criticism to offer up in response to Klaus' behavior, except for the fact that today, for once, very little seemed to be bothering her, which is exactly why she looks up when Hayley enters and does little more than give her a saccharine-sweet, oddly patient smile.

"You know the moment you say that, you're only inviting stranger things," she reasons, without seeming terribly concerned. "What now?"
