open } braced myself for the "goodbye" cause that’s all i’ve ever known
Who: Killian Jones, Regina, and YOU
Where: Emma's bedroom, various places on the grounds.
When: 3/2 - 3/9
Rating: PG probably? Will update if higher.
Summary: Emma's gone. It makes for a sad pirate.
The Story:
For Regina
Emma hasn't been missing that long, all things considered. Just a few hours, and Henry's gone as well. It's enough that he can hope beyond hope that she's coming back, and he left a message telling her he'd be waiting in her room. He's pretty sure she'd get the connotations... he's waiting to sweep her off her feet for some hot pirate loving.
Which is why when Regina comes to the door, he's not wearing a shirt. You're welcome.
"Finally, love, I'd wondered--" he blinks as it registers that this is... not Emma, and his expression sobers. "Oh, it's you."
Everyone Else
Emma's gone. Killian's had to acknowledge that, and he's had to accept that he just doesn't know if she'll come back or not. He hopes she will. All her stuff's still here, so that makes him hopeful. But he doesn't know, and that puts him on edge. He stays in her room, ostensibly to take care of Lucky but mostly because it smells like her and he misses her. It also makes it easier for him to inform anyone who comes looking for her that she's not here. She's missing. He just has to hope she won't stay missing for too long.
It's mostly because he considers it a sacred duty to care for Emma's pet that he doesn't spend the whole week in her room. He takes Lucky out for walks, goes to get food and slips the dog sausage under the table, and explores the grounds to give the dog exercise. Still, he has a certain air of melancholy around him. He knows how unlikely it is she'll show up before the week is over, but he can't help hoping. And maybe if he's out when she does, he'll be the one to find her.
If she comes back at all. He doesn't want to think about that possibility.
