as high as honor
Who: Members of House Arryn & any visitors!
Where: Ninth Floor
When: 04/09 - 04/13
Rating: PG-13
Summary: The ninth floor of the mansion now belongs to those loyal to House Arryn. This is a mingle log for House interactions and also for anyone who cares to pay them a visit. No Boltons or Lannisters allowed.
The Story:
The ninth floor may not have much to offer in terms of valuable territory, containing nothing so sought after as the kitchens or the library or the diner, but it is still outfitted proudly, covered in blue banners bearing the falcon that signifies House Arryn.
The floor contains only eight occupied rooms, and for the most part the House has been known for its neutrality -- which isn't to say that some of its members don't have other Houses they support or violently oppose.
Those of House Stark or House Barartheon are free to visit, whereas those of House Bolton and House Lannister may not receive such a warm welcome.

He's pledged himself to Sansa, and the closer he is to her, the more he can offer protection.
House Baratheon lingers right below them, and they're even granted access to the diner that they hold, that alliance holding strong due to the various members of their Houses. House Arryn itself may not be as powerful or influential as the Starks or the Baratheons, but Steve believes that they're in a good position. The more that they back those two Houses, the more likely they'll come into power themselves.
The odd thing is that despite living here during his entire time in Wonderland, there are a few members of his House he hasn't yet met. One of them is new, but the other has maybe just kept to herself until now. Steve has to make sure that everyone is on the same page when it comes to who they're loyal to, so he intends to settle that as soon as he can.
There's another reason that Steve is patrolling up and down the ninth floor, though, sometimes even with his dog Dodger at his heel -- and that's to make sure that no stray Boltons or Lannisters come sneaking through. Their floors are only three and two stories down respectively, so he has to be vigilant. He has his eyes peeled for anyone who doesn't belong.]

OTA!
She once helped run a diner a floor below House Arryn, and it has since been seized as Baratheon territory. However, Tohru does not think of it that way at all. Thanks to the kindness of her dear friend Hana, she has access to the diner whenever she likes, and since that is the case Tohru does not mind if others use it as well.
At least once a day she ventures down to the diner to make large quantities of food to bring up to Arryn's floor, from a variety of cultures. One day it might be Nikuman stuffed with pork, another day she might make meatballs with a large quantity of pasta, and another day it might be chicken salad sandwiches...or chicken salad!
She's taken this on as her duty to her House, the house that was so kind to take her in back in her world. She never complains, but she's always glad for help and will take requests if there's something someone really wants on any given day.
And, of course, as a thank-you to House Baratheon for allowing her to continue using the diner in a territory that is no longer hers, she always makes sure to leave some of whatever she's making behind for any Baratheon who happens to find it.]

That being said... she doesn't get down to visit the houses on the lower floors much. As high as honor is their motto, and Carol lives it whenever she flies out the window and explores the skies. She's an Arryn. She loves heights. It's lucky she's on good terms with the Starks, as she can so often be found up on the roof. But she'll always come home to her beloved ninth floor, and her equally honorable housemates. They're her people, and she loves them for it.]

Not that she's complaining, of course. But it's just meant that she spends more time training on her lonesome than she did before. And she did a lot of lonesome training before.
Beiste's working on hanging up a punching bag, and hell if it ain't harder than she expected, on her own. But maybe if she does that, the hero types might start hangin' out too. She and Johnny can't have all the fun, right?]

OTA
In the time between falling from a moving train and being found on that frozen riverbank, he'd been a little weary of heights. He'd had to dare himself to face them, though he always did. Now, the years have given him a whole new appreciation for them. He can sometimes be found strolling or standing at the furthest edge of the roof. Knowing he could fall to his death doesn't particularly bother him. He likes the solitude and the simplicity and the space...and sometimes he just likes a clear line of sight.
James spends a lot of time moving between different areas, and passes through the hallways often. He can look fairly intimidating, dressed in his usual dark clothing and an assortment of weaponry. When visible, his left shoulder displays a veined red star over a white one, surrounded by a circle of black; unmistakably Bolton colors.
His expression is often blank and distant, and while he isn't hostile, he isn't particularly outgoing either. The little golden puppy trotting along beside him, however, will be more than happy to veer off and greet any interesting-smelling strangers. ]
