halfwinchester: (♟ angels cry and demons hiss)

[Adam hasn't left, hasn't slept, driven by the urge to keep watch over Darcy until he waits the angel out, or until the angel waits him out. He finds some solace in knowing the event has to end eventually, but not much.

He'd shut her in a room, the entire time afraid that it wouldn't be enough, that the angel would get out while still treating Darcy like a human meat suit, mind running circles. What if it does bust out? What could he do? He couldn't hurt her, knowing there's a human soul in there. How could he not hurt her if it came down to another fight? Not forgetting that the angel was already hurting her by just being inside her. Ugh, fuck. Fuck every angel God ever made. The idea of doing nothing rubs Adam the wrong way on so many levels, but even if he did crack and call someone like Castiel or Michael for help, these aren't Castiel's brand of tree toppers, and Michael... How much would Michael really care about saving Darcy over getting rid of the angel?

He chases these thoughts around and around and around, ultimately paralyzed into wanting to do the least harm to the human half of this angel/Darcy equation, until he loses track of time entirely. The sudden knock from the other side of the door startles him, sounding as large as a gunshot to his ears.

She sounds... better now. But angels lie all the time. He can't be sure.]

Is it really you? How do I know that?

[Standing up, he moves closer to the door--reinforced, just like his own bedroom's.]
