This was NOT my fault.
Who: Brennan Trevelyan, Dorian Pavus and anyone else out poking at the rips.
Where: All over the Mansion and grounds.
When: Thursday, July 16
Rating: PG-ish?
Summary: Despite having just arrived, Brennan heads out to try and do something about the strange rifts that have popped up all over. He's... mildly successful?
The Story:
The day the first rift had appeared down on the beach, Brennan and Dorian had gone down to investigate it in their explorations. Such a thing was more than familiar to him, although this one was strange and new and there was no glimpse of the Fade in its depths. And while the Anchor may have tingled in response to the nearness to it - or was that his imagination - no amount of activating the mark had any affect on the strange tear. As it didn't seem to be harming anyone and nothing dangerous seemed to be spilling out of it, Brennan was content to knock it up as another strange oddity of magic this place was currently experience.
And then they'd woken up this morning to the sight of the things scattered everywhere and suddenly they didn't seem so innocuous. Which is why he's out inspecting them once again, wherever he comes across them. And to find a startling change.
He can close these ones. Yes, you heard that right, Wonderland. Don't ask him how, he didn't understand how it worked back home and certainly doesn't here, either. But you might be wandering through Wonderland to see the Inquisitor holding up a glowing green fist and forcefully closing the rips with some sort of strange magic that seals them as though they were never there.
Of course, that victory is always short-lived, since it seems whenever he closes one, another appears somewhere nearby. That's... not supposed to happen and is going to be puzzling him from trying it too many times, just in case. But you're welcome to come see the show for yourself as he and his accompanying mage try to figure out what the heck to do now.
