Summary: Mirror April was given a job. She will get it done
The Story:
[mirror april wasn't like her real counterpart. that probably didn't need to be said, but it was a distinction she wanted to make. she'd watched april go around making such strange decisions all over the place - they'd even written to each other on the glass but april was just strange. and she never wanted to do any work. she had a ball pit!! for goodness sake. but mirror april wasn't like that at all. if she was given a task she would happily and willingly get it done. the only problem was, there weren't usually many tasks.
once the queen calls on them to find objects she's a little bit stuck on what to do. on the one hand, she really wants to please the queen. but on the other hand, she doesn't want to make anyone upset by stealing their stuff. there had to be a way to satisfy both of those things. maybe, if she found willing enough individuals, she could ask them to kindly part with their objects. no on who lives here would want the mansion to just go and fail, right?
but there was this pesky thing where real april wanted nothing to do with the mirror side, so they kept getting force-switched. not that mirror april was going to let that bother her or dampen her efforts at all. work was supposed to be a challenge! overcoming obstacles made you feel better about yourself!
she could prove to the queen that you could do this, and do it without violence. she had four days. all the time in the world.]
