(Fair response. One that he respects quietly and subtly. He is perfectly fine with staring off at another person for as long as need be to get them to realize that he absolutely wasn't going to start the conversation. A conversation that he pretty much always didn't want to have.

He watches her go down but doesn't appear cautious or wary. More withdrawn and curious than anything, he is. Nothing about Evelyn strikes him as particularly dangerous. It's partly because she is a woman and that hardly means anything for what people might assume it means. He's by no means disregarding any potential for violence or strength. It's more that women, to him, are typically more logical and rational. Less prone to abrupt senseless violence with no reasoning than men. Most women he has met fight because they have to, not because they want to. That's been his experience thus far back home and he had no problem applying that to the women he encounters here.

Besides, she has those kind of eyes that reminds him vaguely of Toast. Smart. Aware.

He doesn't bother confirming because she was right and it was probably obvious that she was right. He was new. New in a sense that he barely even understood what that implied still.)

....No.
