The words echoed around them, silencing Teddy's pleas. There was nothing left now but to follow through with what he set out to do. It was either kill Billy or let himself become brainwashed by HYDRA sending the both of them out to hurt again. Teddy couldn't do that and he knew, he hoped that Billy would agree.

I'm so sorry, he thought as he increased pressure on Billy's neck. He squeezed tight, feeling the bones shift beneath his skin. With a quick jerk of his arm he felt the bones snap and he let out a sob, unable to hold his crumbling resolve in place.
