It's too noisy and too crowded for the Ghost to feel comfortable. Not that outside the tavern is much better. The forest is so dark he wouldn't be able to see his own wing in front of his face and the rain thunders outside. It's clear where Wonderland expects them to stay.
It doesn't take him long to make his way over to a corner, as far away from everyone as he can manage. The closest he's ever gotten to dealing with a crowd was his time spent with family and even that was eight or nine years ago. It just isn't a situation he knows how to handle.
He peers at the crowd, seeking out familiar faces. While he's very quiet and still, an abnormally large mourning dove might attract an odd look or two.
Just outside the tavern
Being outside in the rain for a bit won't make the Ghost sick. How could it? He's not looking for time to himself so much as he's seeking out a bit of quiet, but the result is the same either way.
Should he see someone leaving for the forest, he'll speak up. "It's dark in there. Wouldn't it be better to wait for morning before exploring?"
