You who have followed me into the heart of evil [CLOSED]
Who: Commander Cullen "No. This Is Ridiculous" Rutherford (
morework), The Esteemed Magister Dorian "I'm The Val Royeux Of People" Pavus (
magisterium), and a demon (
outofthebreach)
Where: The forest
When: 01/19, after this and this.
Rating: PG-13, will adjust if needed
Summary: Commander Cullen is having a somewhat difficult time adjusting to his new surroundings. An ally such as Dorian could probably really help to facilitate the transition. The stranger at his side who claims the Inquisitor's title probably really won't.
The Story:
He begins to think that death at the hands of the demon would have been cleaner. This place, entirely too real as it feels, is madness, not temptation. Nor torment, unless its impossibilities would seek to chip away at his mind, until... until what? Until he despairs of it enough to end it all? Until he submits to the reality it would have him believe?
It follows no rhyme or reason he can explain, yet even the sharpest doubts cannot dispel what he sees. So he clings to sword and shield, real or imagined, and follows the only lead he can discern: A feeling stirred him from the depths of the woods as he arrived. Warnings urge him away from it still. If this is truly where Cullen is not meant to be, then that is exactly where he must go.
