[Alistair can't stop a quiet huff of laughter as Robyn declares Aedan to be an ass. Not inaccurate he'd say but not what he'd expected. It still comes as a surprise that she thinks so highly of him, though maybe it shouldn't. She certainly hasn't made a secret of her opinions, based as they may be on someone he's not sure how much he has in common with. Enough that she really does seem to know him and it's been surprisingly easy to fall into a friendship despite only recently have mended their bridges.

He doesn't protest the claim, even if he can't help but wonder if she's not just a little biased, just shoots her a faintly embarrassed, faintly pleased smile.

One that's quickly lost as she talks of her family and Duncan and how she'd escaped Howe's attack.]

I'm glad he was there to help you. That he managed to get you out of there. [Flushing faintly himself he clears his throat.] I wish you could have gotten to know him. I think you would have liked him. And he would have been proud to have a Warden like you.

[Catching her hand in his own he brings them down between them, squeezing lightly.]

I... didn't know all of them that well. Mostly just Duncan. And I wasn't there to see... What I mean is, if you ever want to talk about them I'd be happy to listen.
