[ That little 'you know' begins to grate on Carver's nerves in such a way that he wants nothing more than to explode right now into nothing but fury and fire so Anders can choke on it. He says nothing while Anders works out how and what he wants to say, standing there with his body tense and jaw working around every last ounce of foul thing he has wanted to say to Anders for the past five years. The words taste bitter on his tongue; he needs a drink.
But, that all changes in almost an instant when Anders finally gets it out.
