"All right. Okay. Cool." Alex shifts in his seat, trying again to feel like he wasn't just sent to the principal's office or something. "I don't mind the kid, really. He's not a bad guy."

In fact, he's probably a better guy than Alex. Maybe that's why he annoys him. That and he just keeps poking into Alex's business when he very definitely shouldn't do that, as that's the sort of thing that gets people killed. Just really smacks of something Jay-esque. And that was bad enough.
