"Give me one moment to gather my things."

One moment and nothing more, when he briefly leaves her supported on her staff. He gathers up his supplies, all he knows would be unwise to leave behind. Bedrolls, those were only ever a luxury to begin with. This is no place for sleep, least of all the comfortable sort.

(He glances at the screen of his communication device, and regrets that he did. It died a while ago, and he'd not been able to hear or reach anybody since. Of course it would, the one time he could find a use for it.)

Then he hurries to her side again, bracing as much of her weight as is possible. Wondering if he should have offered to carry her outright, if it would make them faster. He indicates one of the passages ahead.

"This was the passage I came from. Our best bet is to trace it back as long as we can." He nods at her staff. "I have torches left, but light would be welcome if you can manage."
