She nods slowly in response to the quick flurry of questions, and without thinking, her hand comes to rest against her throat, fingers lightly touching against the red marks left behind by the collar, still sore and sensitive even under her own fingertips. It would sting for some time, she knew, and it would be a reminder of the fact that other people would never stop being afraid of her-- something she would never be able to change, no matter how she tried.
"I remember," she says quietly, and her voice creaks slightly from disuse, from sitting in that box for days, unwilling to speak a word for fear of being violently rebuked once more. She looks between the two of them, and while she wants to say more, the words won't come. She's never been the most verbose member of the team, but especially now, especially when even the slightest noise had earned her a shock because of the people watching over her being fearful of what she might do--
