The thing is, Kurt doesn't know what he would have done without Sarah. He picked on her sometimes, and as a kid, he sometimes made it seem like having her around really sucked. But it didn't. She grounded him, she reminded him of something good, that not all of life was filled with sadness and despair.

"That goes both ways." He hugs her in return, closing his eyes for a moment. "Love you, too."
