He has to hand it to the guy for taking the whole conversation in stride. If anything ever comes of it between him and Sarah, Kurt at least feels...somewhat reassured by the man, even if his jokes often fall flat in Kurt's mind. He seems mostly harmless, at the very least.
Once they get inside the room and Kurt sees what they're dealing with, his first reaction is to internally smirk. Internally. That's right. His face is still mostly a serious mask, and his eyes narrow a little.
"You were really out of your league here," he says first. But then he kneels and leans in closer, getting to work quickly with the wires and making sure everything's plugged in where it needs to be. He's figured out quickly that it needs to actually be plugged in, though, and looks over at Anders.
"First rule: you make sure the thing has juice. Power. This thing isn't even plugged in." Kurt looks around, quickly finding the adapter and holding it up to show him before plugging it in. Once that's done, the unit turns on.
