Summary: Lily and James celebrate their first anniversary!
The Story:

[An entire year. When Lily had first arrived in Wonderland, she’d only recently begun to consider dating James, and even then it had been tentative. So much time had passed since then; their courtship had been short but felt undeniably right and natural, making the tales they’d been told about their own future that much more believable-- and then they had decided, together, that they wanted to spend as much time together as husband and wife as Wonderland would allow them. By all accounts, they didn’t have nearly enough of it back home.

As years went, this one had seen its ups and downs, but it had still been the best year of Lily’s young life.

She happens upon James in the kitchen in the late afternoon, and she counts herself fortunate for having such good timing-- if he hadn’t already helped himself to something from the pantry. She smiles warmly, approaching him and taking hold of his hand, letting their fingers lace together.]
