He hasn't taken his eyes off the man claiming to be Leonard Church by the time that Carolina arrives. Even when she walks in, he spares her only a scant glance before turning back to the guy, like he's worried that he's going to bolt at any second. He won't let that happen. He isn't going to let him try to escape, to pretend he's said nothing wrong.
