Pearl lowers her gaze, and her face darkens as she listens to her words. He was her first. Her first to accept her. Everything she had done? Was for naught. It didn't matter. None of it did. She mad the ultimate sacrificed for someone who accepted her.

Her shoulders hunch again. And her foot stomps into the ground, creating a small crater in the shape of it. Causing the ground around her to tremble lightly.

"I've heard enough." She lifts her head, tears still falling. "I knew where I stood when I saw you dancing with him, Rose. I even fought against him for your affections. You knew I was trying to. I could see the way you looked at him."
