[Sans is prepared to teleport the instant Mirrorton lets go of him, but there's a problem. The problem being the differences in density between liquids and air, and how it's a whole hell of a lot easier to displace air than it is to displace water. Teleporting into water is a pain in the coccyx, teleporting out is a little harder. Takes an extra second or two. Viscosity, pressure differential, etc etc. Science shit.]
[Mirrorton swims away and Sans sinks like a skeleton weighed down by sodden clothes, which is to say, kind of like a rock. He hits the bottom, bubbles rising from his eyesockets as water pushes out the air in his skull. He can still feel an air pocket in there, which is an absurdly weird and unsettling feeling.]
[Then there's a small jolt through the water and he suddenly can't feel anything at all.]
[Well, fuck.]
[Electricity works better when you have nerves and brain signals that can be interrupted, but Sans's bones have still gone numb. Magic mimicking the effect of electricity, or something like that. He sort of drifts along the bottom for a second, trying to peer through the water toward where Mirrorton is. He thinks he hears him say something.]
[Again, fuck this.]
[Fortunately for everyone, the whole point of teleporting is to move without moving. So even paralyzed, it's possible.]
[Sans teleports, leaving a good-sized bubble in the pool that rises to the surface with a sound like an underwater fart.]
[Meanwhile, Sans and about ten gallons of water reappear in the hallway he just left. Sans lies on the carpet as water drains out of his skull and just stares at the ceiling while he waits for his bones to work again.]
