Boy, you gotta carry that weight
Who: Ten-year-old Cloud and YOU
Where: Neverland
When: The entire event
Rating: CW FOR A WHOLE BUNCH OF THINGS including child abuse, child endangerment, hallucinations, the like. (Cloud does not have a pleasant childhood and does not act pleasantly as a child - let me know if anything needs proper warnings or anyone needs a head's up!)
Summary: I always thought they were stupid, laughing at every little thing.
The Story:
A. The Spring.
[Once Cloud was here, it was usually impossible to move him from this spot. Sometimes that weak skeleton would come by to drink from it, coming a lot more often than anyone else. So he'd trip him from the bushes or push him in or just give him a good shove in general, because he was a lot easier to take his frustrations out on than the other kids.
But he shouldn't do that, he shouldn't bully. Mom always told him he shouldn't. But mom's not here anymore. Tifa's probably not even alive anymore at this point. And all the other kids in that stupid town probably don't even miss him, probably keep blaming him for her death. And the kids here were equally dumb, fighting each other or against the Adults here when it's pointless. They're always much bigger and stronger than they'll ever be, so why even try?
The only reason he stays at this spring is because he can finally be completely, and utterly, alone.]
B. Dead Man's Peak
The Dreamshade is still here, just like it always has been. One cut was usually enough to kill a full-grown adult, and if it were a child, probably even less so. But he's always been afraid to test it. Always... kind of mortified by the thought of dying. For one, it was an escape, from everything. But it would hurt a lot. He'd probably get really sick or something and suffer a good, long while before it finally happened. Kind of like Tifa's mom did.
Or Tifa, herself.
"But it'd only hurt for a little while, right?"
"N-no, I'm not... I'm not gonna."
"I didn't feel anything, so maybe you won't, either."
"Stop talkin' to me."
And why now? Why would she talk to him so much here but never at home? Was it because of those other kids? Because he'd killed her? Well, when you die you can't really talk at all, now can you?
This is dumb.
