[Damon stares ahead at his own hands pressed against the door like he can't look at her as he says the words (and he can't). Ordinarily, he's full of quips, sarcasm, anything to keep from lingering on his own pain or the darkness of a moment, but- but this place does things to him, and he's stripped from it all as if he's back there. And all that matters is getting out. He nods and he'll count off to three which has them both pushing. It's the combination of both vampire strength that finally has the door opening. They step through to the other side, and the door closes behind them.
