Summary: The Zombie Apocalypse has a Family Christmas Dinner. And everyone's hearts grew three sizes that day.
The Story:
Christmas was always an eventful time in Wonderland. As this was his third one here, Simon had learned better than to make plans for anything before the day in question since Wonderland always seems to have very particular ideas about the best way to celebrate the holiday that didn't always mesh well with any plans anyone else had made.
So instead, a small gathering is scheduled for a few days after Christmas, a few sporadic invitations sent out to close friends and honorary family members. Whereas last year the meal had been hosted in one of the private rooms, this year their number had grown considerably larger. So the bar was chosen and decked out for celebrating the season, a giant tree taking up one corner and sporadic presents multiplying in number beneath it as people trickled in through the door.
As did the casseroles and dishes filling up one of the tables pushed against the far wall to serve as a makeshift all-you-can-eat holiday buffet. The bar's stock is also fully presented for anyone who wants to indulge. Tables are pushed together in the center of the room for those attending to gather at, a large enough settings so that friends, acquaintances and strangers alike can settle in and mingle with old and new friends for as long as they like.
