can't complain about much these days, I believe we'll be okay.
Who: EVERYBODY
Where: Outside the resort
When: For the first couple of days of the event
Rating: PG for "pure goodness" and probably people being salty about being pelted with snow.
Summary: SNOWBALL FIGHT MINGLE LOG
The Story:
It doesn’t take long before the resort’s grounds gain (1) snow fort, large enough to be noticed, which is sort of the point. Planted in the snow outside of it is a pole with a blanket tied to the top, waving in the wind as a makeshift flag. All of this seems fairly innocuous until you venture close enough to investigate.
Or walk by it within a certain range.
And then- oh yes then- you’re going to get pelted with snowballs.
From her position atop the highest point on the fort, Mabel Pines, herself, is packing another snowball to prepare it for tossing. “You have two choices, knaves! Defect to Fort Pines or face us in armed combat to the death!”
As Mabel packs her snowballs, Dipper's standing next to her with an armful of his own, holding one up ready to throw. "Better choose quickly!"
The fight is on.
[ooc: THIS IS AN OPEN MINGLE LOG. Feel free to post top levels at your leisure. The starter text here is to give you an idea of how to get your characters involved, because the Pines Twins WILL be pelting everyone with snow to get them to have fun. MAKE TEAMS. THROW SNOW. HAVE FUN.]

Cissie King-Jones | OTA
Odds of Cissie missing her target? Slim to none. It would be wise to join her team. (Does she know what team she's on? Not necessarily.)]

While he's not exactly feeling particularly sociable, he can't help but fall in line with Cissie, having noted her expert pitching abilities. He scoops snow into his gloved hands and begins forming snowballs that he can then offer to her. ]
Not exactly invisible zombies, is it?
[ Did Wonderland decide to go easy on Blake for his first event, or what? ]
Summer to winter in the blink of an eye...
no subject
Not exactly! I'll take snow over those jerks any day, Mr. Blake. A while ago, this place turned into a space station, and there was a really great laser tag place, but it was otherwise pretty much like this one. Just a change in scenery, and some aliens instead of a ton of snow.
[She laughs, and the snowball hits someone in the shoulder. She ducks one coming their way.] Having fun yet?
no subject
Well, it's a bit more tolerable than I was expectin', but I dunno 'bout havin' fun.
[ John makes a face at Cissie — something self-deprecating, but not entirely unkind — and then lobs a snowball back at the crowd they're battling. ]
Pretty sure I'm incapable of havin' a good time...
no subject
Oh come on. I don't believe that for a second. Duck!
no subject
Thanks for the assist.
[ And now he's gathering snow for himself, packing it light and pitching it ahead like he's looking for a batter over home plate. ]
You've got some aim game.
no subject
[Cissie flashes him a grin, and thankfully the cold has turned her cheeks pink enough to conceal the flush that creeps up when he compliments her.]
Thanks. It's kind of what I do. [She hurtles another snowball at someone aiming for the back of John's head. She wins.] I'm an archer. I compete professionally.
no subject
Does it work that way? Pretty sure a snowball and a bow an' arrow work a little diff'rently for the rest of us, but you are the professional, so I'm gonna take your word for it.
no subject
You know, most people don't really question that. They're not the same, not really. I just... have always had really good aim. And my mom noticed it before I could walk, so. [She shrugs, as if this just explains everything. It doesn't nearly explain anything, Cissie.]
What do you do, by the way?
no subject
Uh, currently? [ Now he dips, packing snow and tossing her a new snowball. ] Munitions worker. Used to be a cop, though — detective. Somethin' tells me that's not gonna fly here.
no subject
A used-to-be detective in Gotham who now is a munitions worker? [She lets the snowball fly without really looking, and gives him a wry smile.] You must have been one of the good cops, then. Why the switch?
no subject
Think it was because I was one of the good cops, if I'm being totally honest. Not everyone was takin' that approach, and even when they did, it was a lot harder to make a diff'rence — to help people — from where I was.
no subject
Hey. I've heard about Gotham cops. Even if I wasn't friends with a native Gothamite, I've heard about Gotham. [She lobs off another snowball, expression turning serious.] I'm sorry, though. That sucks--when you want to help people, but you can't, for one reason or another.
[It's something she's very familiar with, although her own limits are self-imposed.]
no subject
[ He'll do his part. Does he think about going home? Of course. But if he's here, he's here in service of others. That's just the natural part of John Blake that can't be denied no matter where he's located. ]
Head's up—
[ A warning now that she's been suitably distracted, followed by another pre-formed snowball tossed into the air for her to catch and use at her leisure. ]
no subject
Thanks. I guess there's always something to do. I'm still kind of... trying to figure out my place here, you know? How I can help, when the crap hits the fan. Besides just looking out for me and my friends.
no subject
Tim's one of those friends, right? Tim Drake?
[ She had mentioned him the first time they'd talked. No last name, but considering he'd talked to Drake later that same day, it's a bit too much of a coincidence to think there might be more than one Tim from Gotham hanging around Wonderland. ]
no subject
Yeah, that's him. I take it you've met?
no subject
[ He shrugs and steps a few feet to the side of the battle, trying to effectively remove himself from it. ]
Seems like you're pretty lucky to have a friend like that.
