can't complain about much these days, I believe we'll be okay.
Who: EVERYBODY
Where: Outside the resort
When: For the first couple of days of the event
Rating: PG for "pure goodness" and probably people being salty about being pelted with snow.
Summary: SNOWBALL FIGHT MINGLE LOG
The Story:
It doesn’t take long before the resort’s grounds gain (1) snow fort, large enough to be noticed, which is sort of the point. Planted in the snow outside of it is a pole with a blanket tied to the top, waving in the wind as a makeshift flag. All of this seems fairly innocuous until you venture close enough to investigate.
Or walk by it within a certain range.
And then- oh yes then- you’re going to get pelted with snowballs.
From her position atop the highest point on the fort, Mabel Pines, herself, is packing another snowball to prepare it for tossing. “You have two choices, knaves! Defect to Fort Pines or face us in armed combat to the death!”
As Mabel packs her snowballs, Dipper's standing next to her with an armful of his own, holding one up ready to throw. "Better choose quickly!"
The fight is on.
[ooc: THIS IS AN OPEN MINGLE LOG. Feel free to post top levels at your leisure. The starter text here is to give you an idea of how to get your characters involved, because the Pines Twins WILL be pelting everyone with snow to get them to have fun. MAKE TEAMS. THROW SNOW. HAVE FUN.]

undisputedheavily disputed rulers of Fort Pines, you'll find them sticking close together, working as a team to take on all challengers.... at least until they get bored and start trying to shove snow in each others' shirts.Join them if you want, or attack them if you dare. Or both, really. They're not picky.]

She smirks in amusement. ]
To the death?

[she picks one of her snowballs up, grinning in challenge.] So what's it gonna be, Clem?

It should be called Fort Falls!
[Laughing as she hauls back, tossing one of the snowballs she carries with the precision and force of a Corduroy.]

[Dipper is fortifying the defenses, but he sits up, ruffling through his pockets before tugging out a piece of paper.]
I've already added it to all the ski maps!

Mae | OTA
[So she takes over the bunny hill.]
[She builds a modest fort up at the top so she has the high ground and stocks it with snowballs over the course of the first few days. When she's not in her fort, she's back at the lodge warming up and gathering food. Once the storm starts she packs it in and abandons Mount Mae to the elements. But until then, the bunny hill is a dangerous place to be.]
[Mae also spends part of the time recruiting new citizens and soldiers for Mount Mae, so anyone who wants to help out and/or plan a coup is welcome.]
Mae | OTA
Which means they have to get through Fort Mae.
It'll be a tough job, considering the cat's made an impressive fort, but they'll only lose if they don't try in the first place. So, to start things off, they try a sneak attack. While waiting for Mae to turn her back onto the (hopefully) sneaky robot, they fire a snowball to the back of her head!]
no subject
Sneak attack from behind! Battle stations!
[She calls this to whoever is present, which is no one, but Mae is envisioning a vast army. There's even snowball catapults and snowball ballistas. It's awesome.]
Vile robotic stranger! Prepare to eat snow!
[She grabs up a snowball and chucks it at Turing.]

They've fashioned a small fort of sorts and built themself a stockpile of snowballs, but there's a small little surprise they've added to their arsenal: a dollop of food coloring in the center of each snowball. If you get hit, you might find yourself covered with a splash of green or a spray of vibrant pink.
What can they say? This Wonderland-brand ski lodge has provided them with a very wide variety in food coloring.]

But it plays to Mabel's sense of dramatics. She grips her chest and falls over onto the snow bank, groaning.] I've been hit! Tell my comrades to press on, and win this one for Mabel!

It means I've marked you! You fight for me now! [So no time for lazing around!] On your feet, soldier!

Cissie King-Jones | OTA
Odds of Cissie missing her target? Slim to none. It would be wise to join her team. (Does she know what team she's on? Not necessarily.)]
no subject
While he's not exactly feeling particularly sociable, he can't help but fall in line with Cissie, having noted her expert pitching abilities. He scoops snow into his gloved hands and begins forming snowballs that he can then offer to her. ]
Not exactly invisible zombies, is it?
[ Did Wonderland decide to go easy on Blake for his first event, or what? ]
Summer to winter in the blink of an eye...
no subject
Not exactly! I'll take snow over those jerks any day, Mr. Blake. A while ago, this place turned into a space station, and there was a really great laser tag place, but it was otherwise pretty much like this one. Just a change in scenery, and some aliens instead of a ton of snow.
[She laughs, and the snowball hits someone in the shoulder. She ducks one coming their way.] Having fun yet?

Henry - OTA
Also, this is a lot better than the last time something wintery happened and a ghost tried to make him freeze to death. ]
no subject
But she can't help but notice Henry's snowballs, just as she can't help but notice that they're getting bigger seemingly on their own. After watching the scene for a couple more minutes, she drifts closer. ]
That's new. [ She nods to the snowballs to indicate what she means. ]
no subject
[ Henry glances at the snowballs, then shrugs a little. ]
Just makes it faster, that's all. A distinct advantage in ye olde snowball fight and being Team Henry.

she does notice something peculiar and when she does - ]
How did you do that?
[ and then, there she is, in person. petite and dressed in white, a sweater today, just over a long skirt. ]
Henry.
[ she places her hands on her hips. ]
Is that the magic you talked about?
no subject
Oh, yep. My mom taught me. We're kind of a magic family.

angus mcdonald | ota
Yep, he just... lets it happen... Because when someone throws something at you, the secret is to let them do it until they get bored. And that's what this is, right? Of course it only took a few days for people to start picking on him. That's typical wherever he goes, so why should Wonderland be different?
There's a disconnect, here. Angus knows that good little boys don't throw things at people. He has to be a good little boy, or else he'll get into big trouble. And he does not want to get into big trouble. So standing in place and accepting the snowball storm it is.]
no subject
[There's someone just standing there and as serious as the epic war of snowballs is... Dipper needs to make sure this guy's not hurt or anything. He waits for people to stop throwing, then trots out towards the kid. New kid, from the looks of it. Dipper doesn't recognize him, and while there may be more kids than there used to be, Dipper still generally knows them by face, if not by name. He frowns at him.]

She dismounts quickly, hitting into a small run before sliding in next to them, slipping the rope straps of the sled over her arms like a shield and holding it above her-- and him, by default-- as she slides in on her knees, blocking another snowball from the side.]

But also, she built a cannon last week, and the plans are fresh enough in her mind that it took only a few hours to recreate and wheel it out to the slope. So Fort Mew Mew now consists of a few side barriers and a fairly sizeable cannon that Alphys is dumping snow into with reckless abandon.
She brought a gun to a knife fight. Good luck with the Death Balls, kids, they're at least a foot in each direction, and it is loud as hell.]
