Summary: Class 1-2 is playing matchmaker! Sort of. Actually they're just leaving it up to luck and your charming personality. Wait, you don't have one of those? Well, at least this will be blessedly short...
The Story:

Class 1-2's classroom has been transformed for the cultural festival, all the desks rearranged until pairs of two are pushed together and face each other, creating an intimate setting that's separated by dividers they've borrowed from elsewhere in the school.

Red and pink paper hearts dangle from the ceiling and the shades are drawn, leaving the light cast from the lanterns hung overhead and the tiny lights strung up around the edges of the room to set the mood. Music plays quietly in the background, just enough to help muffle the individual conversations and give a bit more hint of privacy and all students that wander in for one of the speed sessions are informed they have the length of one song to chat up their partner before switching. Students are welcome to switch up as many times as they like in search of that special someone.

Unfortunately, Class 1-2 can not guarantee you finding your true love. Please don't hold it against them if you don't.

[ So Kili's sweet on that girl from 3-3, that doesn't mean he can't have some harmless fun and meet new people in the process, right? This is all in innocent good spirit anyway, and just because he's doing what was the assignment given to his class, he'll sure as hell will try to make the best of it.

So he's sitting all proper on his table here, not overdressed but wearing a plain black shirt and a nice leather jacket over it just to give him that extra badass look. It looks almost unfitting with that bright and cheerful smile on his face, but somehow he still pulls it off. ]

[Souji looks a bit apologetic as he slides into the seat across from Kili. Rubbing the back of his neck, he slouches a bit (that's more his normal posture than embarrassment, though; Souji doesn't embarrass easy).]

We ran out of girls. [He shrugs. He's cool with it, but not all guys are.]

[ There's no need to feel apologetic. Because though Kili's a bit surprised at his most recent company, he quickly accepts it with a shrug, smile never leaving his face. ]

No, that's alright! Well, we could've used some more girls, I guess. [ Moving on. ] You're Souji, right? I'm Kili.

Right. [Souji nods and tilts his head a little before deciding he'll make an actual attempt at this instead of finding something else to discuss for a little while.]

So...what's your type?

My type? Like, girls, you mean? [ He figures that's what he's asking, though it's a question that makes Kili wonder for a while. ]

I don't know. I like nice girls with pretty smiles. [ He shrugs a bit, then after another moment's thought, and he adds. ] ... redheads are especially cute.

And you?

[Souji has to wonder if he's got someone specific in mind. He doesn't pry though, answering Kili's question instead after he's thought about it for a few seconds.]

I like girls who know who they are.

[ Those kinds of comments are entirely lost on someone like Kili. He's definitely not the sharpest tool in the shed.

So he just frowns a little, and asks curiously. ] Don't all girls know who they are, though?

I guess I mean... [Souji takes a second to get his thoughts in order.] They know their own good and bad points, and they don't try to be anyone they aren't. They work for what they want and don't worry about what people might think of that.

Oh! [ Explained like that, it does make a bit more sense. ] Yes, then me too, of course! But then again I like all people like that, not just girls. Honest and genuine - important stuff.

[Souji nods.] I guess it's something to prize in anyone. It can be hard to be like that.

If I was guessing, I'd have said pretending to be someone you aren't is harder. More tiring, at least, and it's like... none of the bonds you have with anyone are real, because it's not really you.

[ He smiles. ] That's a nice thing to want from girls, and people in general.

[Souji smiles as well, but his thoughts have gone off in another direction.]

I guess people who pretend to be someone they aren't must have a good reason to do it, if it takes so much energy and time. But no one's the same person all the time, so on some level, maybe everyone's like that.

I don't know, maybe. I don't get it. I'm always myself. [ It's true he doesn't exactly act the same with his friends as he does with his mother or uncle, but he's not really pretending to be someone else entirely in either situation. ]

[Souji's smile widens just a little, like that response pleases him.]

That's the best way to be, I think.
