Summary: Kyubey arrives and immediately begins inspecting Wonderland. And looking for some potential Magical Girls maybe.
The Story:

Option A; arrival and garden investigations

[It's truly a strange event--never before has he been moved anywhere against his own will, and yet... He certainly had no intentions of travelling to this place. Wherever and whatever is is.

For the first few moments after his arrival, Kyubey simply stands in place and looks around, surveying the area around him. His first thought is that perhaps it's a witch's labyrinth, however that thought is quickly scrapped. No, he's not even on Earth any longer. Perhaps...not even in the same universe. Strange.

Curiosity only growing as more time passes, the odd, catlike creature begins to pad his way quietly through the garden, even hopping up onto one of the hedges lining the pathways to get a better vantage point. This is definitely not anywhere he's ever been before, nor is it somewhere he was ever aware of prior to this moment. Very strange. But interesting! Dashing along the hedges, he begins to thoroughly investigate the gardens. He can easily be found poking around flowers, or nothing but a bushy tail sticking out from a bush.]

Option B; inside the mansion

[Eventually, Kyubey makes his way inside the mansion that seems to be the center of this whole world. By now, he's spotted people around--humans as well as a number of non-humans, and it only increases his interest levels. This really is a fascinating place! He just has to wonder if this universe, or world, or...whatever it is exactly has the same trouble with Entropy as the one he's come from does. If it does... Well, at least he can help there.

Moving his way through the large building, he pokes in and out of rooms of all sorts, getting a sense of the place and trying to figure it all out. There's magic here, he's certain of that, which is only another part of what makes it so utterly strange. This world seems entirely illogical. It shouldn't be able to exist!

...However, it's certainly comfortable. Throughout the day, in between wandering the halls and exploring rooms, Kyubey can be found curled up and dozing on comfortable arm chairs, and at one point even sitting in a hot bath he's run himself in the sink of one of the kitchens. Might as well enjoy some of these strange comforts, right?]

Option C; direct contact!

Excuse me.

[The words are called out telepathically to catch the attention of the first being he comes by after his day of exploration. Inquiring with the locals is probably the best way to get the information he's not able to gather himself.

You'll have a small, odd-looking creature staring up at you with unblinking red eyes and an unmoving smile, should you choose to turn to him and give him your attention.]

What's the name of this place? It has a name, I assume.

[It's in the kitchen that Souji finds Kyubey, as he heads in to find a snack. He pauses when he notices the bushy tail and comes closer to the sink. It's only a few seconds before he realizes what--who--is in the water. Or at least he hopes it's the same who; there must be more creatures that look similar in whatever world Kyubey is from, he thinks.]

Kyubey?

[He stands a little ways away, not coming too close in case he's intruding where he shouldn't be. He knows Kyubey has some kind of powers, though he doesn't really understand them at all, so there's probably reason to be a little cautious.]

Hm?

[The call of his name has Kyubey opening his eyes and glancing over curiously. So far, he hasn't run into anyone he knows, and as he gives Souji a look over, he can't say he recalls ever meeting him.

And yet, the boy knows his name. How strange. It reminds him of the situation back home with Homura Akemi. This world, perhaps it uses a strange type of time magic?]

Have we met before? [The question finally comes up as Kyubey shifts his position in the sink, sitting himself up and setting his staring gaze more intently on Souji.]

[Souji takes that as an invitation to get closer. It's hard to resist petting Kyubey, but for now he keeps his hands to himself.]

You've been here before. You must not remember, but that's pretty common.

[As Souji comes closer, Kyubey hops out of the sink and shakes himself off. This seems like it's going to be a conversation better not held whilst taking a bath.]

Is it? I've already gathered that this world brings in an assortment of beings from different places, but you're saying it also sends them home, only to bring them back again? With no memory of their prior stay?

[His head tilts slightly, almost in a questioning way. Very interesting. He's been here before but doesn't recall... This world really is one of a kind, isn't it?]

Right. Sometimes they remember, but not if they've been gone for a long time.

[Souji crosses his arms loosely.]

I've been here awhile. I can tell you what I know about this place.

[Ah, so he must have been gone for a long time, considering he has no memories of the place.]

I would appreciate that. I've already gathered some things on my own, but explanations from someone who has been here for some time would be quite helpful.

[Souji leans against the counter.]

You found the Mansion, so that's a start. There are maybe a hundred and fifty people here from a lot of different worlds, but there's a lot more space than that.

[Souji tilts his head.]

Have you been outside?

It does seem as though the world is capable of handling more than that number.

[It makes him wonder why it hasn't. Perhaps it has its own power restrictions. Or perhaps it picks its victims very specifically.]

Yes, I arrived outside. [Mirroring the head tilt.] I didn't explore every inch of it, however. Is there something I should know?

I guess the most important thing to know is the limits outside. If you go too far into the woods or on the water, you die. [The way he says that, he speaks from personal experience and not just hearsay. It's as much a plain statement of fact as it is a warning.] If you go toward the fences, you end up back here, at the Mansion.
