[Open] I suck at pertinent song lyrics, okay
Who: Souji and Everyone!
Where: The diner, 8th floor, room 001
When: 4/16-4/20
Rating: PG-13 (just to be safe; will change if necessary)
Summary: The diner continues its tradition of being a Safe Space during dangerous events.
The Story:
As soon as it became apparent what was happening in Wonderland, Souji makes a brief statement to the network, then heads to the diner. After checking the cabinets and freezer he's relieved to see that none of the supplies he normally stocks have disappeared. Now he just has to find things like blankets and first aid supplies...if he has to, he can raid nearby rooms, though hopefully anyone who comes along will bring some helpful things with them.
Souji will be looking for people to help out with various things, so anyone can volunteer to cook, provide first aid as necessary, guard the door, help people get to the diner as the infection spreads, and whatever else might be helpful.
This is an open mingle log, so feel free to tag in as you like! Maybe just label top-level threads however you like.

He emerges from the kitchen, nodding to Kanji. He doesn't smile, but his own posture is composed, and he hopes that calm will catch on.
"That's a good point."
He glances toward the door. It's probably still relatively safe to move around on this floor, if things are progressing from the bottom up, but it's still a good idea to be cautious. That makes him hesitate to send Kanji out to get supplies--he should probably take that responsibility himself and keep his underclassman safe.
On the other hand, Kanji is basically a tank, and he's not stupid--he knows to fight or run if he has to, and he knows where to come back to if things get bad. Souji is also the one who knows the diner itself better, as well as the other residents, and it might be better for him to be the one to stay here. If nothing else, he'll be able to establish calm better than Kanji would if left on his own here.
"Go to some of the rooms near here. There should be blankets and pillows on the beds we can use." Even when unoccupied, the rooms weren't totally empty. They were just like unused hotel rooms, really. "If you can, try to get a few fans from one of the closets, but don't spend too much time on it."

"Fans?" he asks, just to confirm. "Yeah, alright-- fans'll work, especially if we can keep the windows open." If the infected found their way outside, could they climb? Damn, he hoped not. "I'll bring back as much as I can carry. Got a little time to work with, right?"
So far, this floor seemed clear, and if it wasn't, then his Persona would more than help him in a pinch, but it was going to be tough to fight weighted down with pillows and blankets.

He glances around the diner, taking in how much space there is and trying to imagine how many people can fit in it.
"The fans are to keep the air moving. That way the spores don't have time to settle here."

"Alright, senpai, you sit tight. Be back soon."
He waves once on his way out, and it comes off almost like a salute before he disappears into the corridor. He's not gone long, but he does make a few stops to deposit stuff just outside the door during the next half hour, starting to lug it all in when he makes his final trip back-- the haul includes at least half a dozen fans of varying shapes and sizes, some looking more capable than others.
"Closets weren't exactly, uh-- consistent about what they felt like spittin' out."

He looks up when Kanji returns and goes to help him bring everything in from the hallway. He eyes the fans and nods.
"They get like that sometimes." Usually when they're most needed. He offers the smallest of smiles, though for Souji that's pretty good. "These will work, though. Thanks."

Seems like the kind of crap a place like Wonderland might pull.

He gestures at the fans. Enough said.

"Think this still beats not having any at all. We'll make it work," he says with as much confidence as he can muster. At least he's in the right company-- Souji's always pulled through when they've been in tough situations before. "What about food? Think we'll be alright? I know we've got a lot here, but kinda hard to tell how far that's gonna stretch."

If they had to, they could ration, or not eat much for a day or two. Even long events weren't enough time to die of starvation, and the water taps still worked, so as long as the water wasn't contaminated, they'd be safe from dehydration.

"So we got food, we got water, we got fans. Got room for people to spread out and sleep. What else, y'think?"
no subject
As steady as that general pattern is, Souji can never really shake the worry that this will be the time the event just doesn't end.
"That's about all we need. I have Personas with me that can heal, too. We should be fine."
He can also set the infected on fire, if he has to.
