it's hard to lose a chosen one [open]

Who: Frisk (+ potential bonus Chara) and YOU!
Where: In your room. Yes, your room.
When: August 21st - August 23rd
Rating: PG? PG-13? these threads always end up bouncing all over the place. Will adjust if needed.
Summary: There's a small child in your room. Maybe they're going through your personal effects without any regards for privacy. Look, this is perfectly socially acceptable behavior in an RPG, all right?
The Story:

The past few days have been a gross unbalancing of their equilibrium, and Frisk has made the unilateral decision that they need something to help them reach that sense of stability again. Too much time has been spent lying on the floor of their room, sometimes with Chara, sometimes alone, enjoying the nonexistent fruits of Napstablook's patented "Lying On The Floor And Feeling Like Garbage" coping technique.

Eventually, they get to their feet. And then they begin to wander.

They try random doors along every hallway. Step inside the room if the door should be unlocked - or they may recruit their partner to open the door if they so choose (Do you want to see how many rooms we can break into? Frisk may or may not have asked while they lay on the floor and contemplated the ceiling paint job. And, Sure, Chara may or may not have answered, because it meant doing something other than simply feeling like useless trash for days on end.)

The point is, there's a kid in your room now. There might even be two. They're going through your stuff, looking through desk drawers, reading diaries, opening dressers, checking under beds. It's not like this sort of behavior was ever really criticized back in the Underground. People had no problem with them walking into their rooms and taking their sweet time poking around.

So, you know, don't even worry about it.

[ooc: feel free to specify the date you'd like this child to enter your room and whether or not you'd like the Frisk-Chara bonus combo! PM me here, message me on AIM at arcaneswearwords or contact me at [plurk.com profile] arrpee if you want to discuss what Frisk may find if you want them to go through your character's private belongings - they won't discover anything you don't want them to!]

Chara's pretty amazed, too, at how well people have taken serial break-and-enters in stride. Wonderland really is a laissez-faire sort of place, isn't it? They've actually come out of this with a fair deal of loot and not-entirely-negative acquaintanceships, all things considered. They're even getting pie out of the deal - a plural "they," of course, because even Chara isn't going to eat a whole entire pie all by themselves, are they?

There's a giggle tickling the back of their throat as they glance over to Toriel, because they know she loves puns. They wanna see her laugh, wanna see her have fun with Frisk, see they really aren't so scary at all - someone who loves bad jokes has an integrity you can't say no to, right?

"I might be a bit too impietuous for that," they blurt.

Chara's plan succeeds- Toriel enjoys the puns, and laughs a bit. "Oh, I do not think that is true, Chara. Really though- it is impierative that you not take nobody getting mad as a sign that things are okay, you two. It is nice that they are friendly, but I do not think they would appreciate you making a habit of it without permission!"

Toriel still has to be a mom, after all, puns or no.

Flawless victory. Everyone's... everyone having fun, everyone looks happy. The bad jokes are working! They're making good jokes, not the painful kind about kids who sleep in soil. This is good. This is okay.

"Frisk! This is no joking matter! If we do not take Toriel's sage advice to heart, we may end up in the pienitentiary!"

"Hmmm... That would be quite the pietiful sight, Chara. Avoiding it will be a piece of pie if you listen to your mother, though!"

Toriel laughs a bit, and leans down- giving her child a small little kiss on the cheek. For now, at least, everything seems to be fine between them.

Chara goes bright pink, surprised and flustered by the sudden feel of a fuzzy snout affectionately pressed to their face. They make a strange little noise, because an embarrassed "Mom!" comes dangerously close to bubbling out of them, and they can only quash the impulsive noise back down into oblivion at the very last second. They press their hands to their cheeks, trying to hide their flustered face, and scrabble to not hopelessly fumble the ongoing chain of puns.

They totally blow it. Can't think of a single thing related to pie, so all they really even manage to achieve is a giggle, a bowed head as they try not to take in whatever kind of look Frisk might be giving them right now, and a quiet "Thank you, ma'am," that tries not to sound as fervent as it feels.
