Summary: It’s Mettaton’s One Year Anniversary Concert! Come on in and celebrate with him!
The Story:

It’s been a strange year for Wonderland’s favorite celebrity. He’s made friends and enemies, he’s seen things both strange and hauntingly beautiful and he’s had many laughs to fill his time. He never imagined he’d be here for an entire year but it seems his contract with this place isn’t expiring anytime soon.

So what better way to celebrate an anniversary than with a performance?

During the day on May 31st posters pop up all over the mansion, on pillars and walls and light fixtures and also some rose bushes in the gardens because of course. They all have one thing in common: beautiful gold typography advertising-

MTT’S GRAND ONE YEAR WONDERLAND ANNIVERSARY! COME ONE, COME ALL, TO ANOTHER SPECTACULAR MTT-BRAND CONCERT!

CELEBRATE A FANTASTIC YEAR WITH YOURS TRULY! DANCE THE NIGHT AWAY WITH QUALITY ENTERTAINMENT! TAKE A BREAK FROM THE MUNDANE TO SPEND A NIGHT SURROUNDED BY GLAMOUR! PARTY WITH YOUR FRIENDS AND GET AWAY FROM IT ALL!

FOOD AND DRINK WILL BE PROVIDED, AS ALWAYS! PEOPLE OF ALL AGES AND SPECIES ARE WELCOME!

[Mettaton has no h*ckin idea what an R2D2 is but he and Mini take it in stride.

Mini beeps in an affirmative manner, waving back and then circling Greg curiously.]

So small! So small! Not as small as me but small! I didn't know humans could BE this small!

[Mettaton laughs and responds in the same beeping that Mini is spouting.]

He's a human child! All humans start out small and then grow big.

[Mini beeps again, this time more seriously, and stops circling Greg. Mettaton looks back to Greg as well.]

They only speak in those beeps, yes. They don't have a sophisticated enough voice box to be able to speak with a language you or I could understand. Not yet at least. Perhaps I will ask Alphys about upgrading them. ...Only if you want, of course.

[He says that last bit towards Mini, who lets out a long low beep in consideration.]

I'unno. Maybe. I like being like this though.

[drummeintheface]

[Greg can't help it. He pats Mini on the head like a puppy. Oh man, this is so great.]

Can we play together sometime? It'd be really fun! I can teach you how to play Two Old Cats!

[Mini beeps as Greg pets their head, puzzled but not upset over this new situation. Mettaton raises an eyebrow curiously at the boy.]

What's Two Old Cats?

[drummeintheface]

[Greg grins up at Mettaton.]

It's a game where you find two cats who are old!

[As far as Greg knows, anyway.]

[Both big and small robot stay silent for a moment, taking in this statement, and then Mini beeps as Mettaton speaks.]

And then what?
And then what?

[Like father, like child.]

[Greg's brows furrow.]

Ummm. You have two old cats!
