there are worse rooming situations. [closed]
Who: Claire Fraser, Caitlin Snow, Mick Rory
Where: The shared room of fire and booze
When: Ski lodge event, day 2 let's say.
Rating: PG? ish?
Summary: Claire is going to take care of Caitlin and also maybe burn something down on accident.
The Story:
[ This is Claire's first event, so honestly she's feeling pretty good because what's a ski lodge but a vacation? Although, meeting Caitlin face to face and seeing how bad off she is, well. That puts a damper on things. Events can be violent, bloody things, but as far as first experiences go, this is probably as good as it gets. Or so she assumes.
They've 'met' in so far as speaking over the devices are concerned, and now she's simply trying to help. With Caitlin, she tries to make sure she's resting comfortably and puts together lavender oil rags to help alleviate pain and soothe the skin, reducing the swelling. Plus, it smells good which isn't a bad thing.
Mick is simply a matter of being cordial with (not that she isn't to both of them, but she wants Caitlin to focus on resting if she can) and Claire is down with ale and stories, the three of them sitting around as she drinks what she's used to - warm ale that tastes less horrible the more you drink. She'll open the floor to questions first because she's curious. ]
How long have each of you been here? I might've asked over the network, but humor me.

Dunno. I came in at Christmas. Ask Snart, he has all the numbers and dates.
[Mick doesn't keep track of that stuff, he's not entirely sure what month it is right now.]

[ In most cases, Caitlin wouldn't think the clarification necessary. But Claire is new and very nice and she wouldn't want the poor woman crossing Lisa's path at all. Of course, she's biased in these opinions: she and Lisa have never quite seen eye-to-eye, and Claire is taking very good care of her right now.
Cait's half-reclined on the bed, her pint almost empty. She wishes it was cold, but it's good, goes well with the painkillers she has with her, and she isn't about to use her powers to refrigerate things. ]
I arrived here on the thirteenth of June. Nearly a year now, barring the week I went home.

[ She doesn't know any of the dudes yet except for two and both of them 'saved' her in some way. If you could call it that.
Honestly, she should have kept Caitlin from drinking because it doesn't help with the swelling of her bruises but what else are they going to do stuck in a lodge? ]
So you've both been here long enough to know whether such a lax snow vacation is normal fare for Wonderland? I'm going to go out on a limb and say I got off easy for my first time.

[They fell out. Leonard hurt Mick's feelings by being happy during the cold weather so Mick was in a sulk and thus, Leonard was no longer his partner.
He was shockingly mature about all of this.]
It ain't but this place likes to give us lots of annoying shit to deal with. Like, you know, that time everything flooded. And that time there were zombies. The basic rule of Wonderland is that it likes to dick around with you.

...crossing those two images is a bad idea and she'll never admit to it. ]
Invisible zombies at that. [ It's an important fact and needs to be added. ] There's also times where this place will completely change you. Like the time I was a man. Or a homicidal, feral ten year old running loose in Neverland.

[ Those were a very new (fictional) concept in her time. ]
As in the film White Zombie? I suppose I shouldn't be surprised. I met a man who can shoot fire from his hands. Nothing should surprise me. Although turning into a completely different gender seems insanely unnecessary.
[ Everything about this place seems unnecessary, and she needs more booze, draining her cup and shifting to get more. ]
Does anyone else need anything while I'm up?
