Summary: Caroline returns to Wonderland, but she's not quite herself these days...
The Story:

Deux Lux

[Caroline Forbes is here most nights, drinking the night away and dancing on any flat surface she can find no matter the height. She never drinks herself into oblivion because she wants to be at her best, on guard for any of her 'friends' that might feel the need to step in.

She doesn't want help. Anyone with half a brain could see she's just fine.

She's more than willing to dance with anyone who's willing, just don't let her pull you off to that dark corner or you might end up with a few puncture wounds and missing any recollection of the last couple of hours.]

Lake

[She actually carted an inflatable lounge chair out here, and anyone in her path would have seen a blonde blur as she doesn't even bother to hide the fact that she's different. The sun is out and she's in her bikini, hair tied into braided pigtails, sporting a pair of dark shades as she lazily kicks around in the water, catching some rays.

Sometimes you can catch her sunbathing on the edge of the water, too, laying casually out on a towel. Vampire or no, she still likes catching some rays.]

Mikaelson Rooms

[Those who are aware of her living arrangements or any of the others that live there as well can find her lounging in various common areas, usually with a drink in hand, and can be summoned to answer anyone who might knock at the door. She's almost always bored, biding her time with liquor and playing with her phone, stalking messages in search of juicy gossip and drama.

Or maybe she's looking for a snack. It's probably just fine, though.]

[Rebekah, unlike other people, doesn't plead with Caroline nor shame her for the choice, she may not know why Caroline turned it off but it's her choice to make.]

[She swirls the liquid in her glass.]

I don't see what the big deal is, anyway. It's not like they don't come back, but we all know that people will flip out and try to ruin our lives so, whatever. I can deal.

I imagine Klaus doesn't want to bring more attention to our little group after everything else recently. [Considering how people had been demanding answers for Evie's death and those responsible...she can't completely blame him.]

I get it, okay? But I know how to be subtle. I wasn't born yesterday.

[...Nevermind the fact that she's barely 18 and hasn't been a vampire very long at all, but look at all the fucks she gives.]

Subtle doesn't tend to be the emotions off style, I figured out Stefan within moments of meeting him.

[but Caroline probably isn't a ripper, which would make all the difference. ]

As long as you don't attract attention I honestly don't give a rat's ass, who am I to judge how you live your life?

I'm not Stefan. And I'm not Elena. I've always been better at this than them.

[She might sound full of herself, but she believes it to be true. Everyone's told her so anyway.]

Exactly. So assuming I'm going to follow in their footsteps is ridiculous.

[She shrugs her shoulders.]

It can't be worse than how much they're listening to me. Seriously, though, how have you put up with it for a thousand years?

A lot of booze, mostly.

[and dysfunction. not to mention all the years rebekah spent in a box. it's actually nothing short of a miracle that she and klaus have stayed on good terms in wonderland as long as they have.]

[She rolls her eyes.]

I was hoping for something a little less obvious. I already do that and it's still annoying.

What can I say? When my brother is set on something it is very difficult to avoid his annoying behavior. He can be relentless.

Not to mention the biggest buzzkill.

He's not the Mikaelson you go to have fun with. If Kol was here I would suggest him. Or myself.

Leave it to the babies of the family to know how to party.
